Central Oahu CPR is rooted in the mission that our clients are equipped with the skills to save their loved ones, neighbors and/or co-workers in crisis. It’s our hope every client walks away from our classes feeling empowered, supported, and hopeful about handling the everyday situations that require medical intervention especially in the midst of an emergency or life-threatening situation.
As an Authorized Training Provider of American Red Cross and American Heart Association, we would be honored to provide you with your CPR or BLS certification. We have had several real-life experiences administering CPR and BLS and almost eight years of experience in training students, professionals, caregivers, parents, babysitters, and many others.
- CPR and first aid is one more way we care for each other. Our island communities are diverse and beautiful and we rely on each other from getting the kids to school to keeping grocery stores shelves stocked. Sometimes, we have to rely more on each other when times are tough or circumstances are out of our control. For instance, we know traffic on Oahu is killer. The time spent waiting for an ambulance can sometimes be time someone in cardiac arrest or struggling to breathe doesn’t have.
- Knowing CPR and basic first aid can make a difference and help our medically-vulnerable loved ones and kupuna. Indigenous, Black, and Brown communities are exposed to illness, trauma, and death at immense disparate rates. In 2014, Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders were 10 percent more likely to be diagnosed with coronary heart disease than the majority White population. We’re at an even greater disparity of having the tools to prevent and help when our loved ones are experiencing a medical emergency.

We are committed to teaching high quality CPR and First Aid training. We offer classes with social distancing and NO physical contact, single-person manikin use, cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and supplies. We have a large, spacious, training site and MOBILE SERVICE to provide training for individual, small and large group settings. Let us come to YOU! Roberta Kupo-Lonoae'a, Owner, Instructor Trainer
I’m Roberta Kupo-Lonoaea and I’m trying to help us all heal a little bit more. I grew up and reside in Wahiawa, where I graduated from Leilehua High School (Go Mules!) and raised my family.
I am a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and one of the requirements of my position is being CPR certified since I work in a home, school or community setting with special-needs children. I have to renew my certification every two years so my employer always referred us to a local agency but I never felt like I was adequately trained. So I sought out a professional company to assist and provide me with the necessary training and tools to be comfortable and confident in my skills. This instructor sparked a high interest of mine to become an instructor as well. As a result, when American Red Cross had an opening, I immediately applied and was eventually hired!
I worked for American Red Cross for over two and a half years and enjoyed every opportunity I was given to be an instructor. I learned so much from my lead and developed lasting friendships within the community.
Central Oahu CPR is my labor of love. It’s a Native Hawaiian-Black, wahine-owned business that I hope brings healing to you and your 'ohana.I have taught for almost nine (9) years now and additionally teach American Heart Association BLS and HeartSaver courses, HSI CPR and BLS, and recently became Instructor Trainers for ARC, AHA, and HSI! My favorite course to teach is Wilderness and Remote First Aid! It provides me an opportunity to be outdoors and teach others to prepare in an emergency when resources are limited.
